Is our President really a good, Christian man or is he using Christianity as a crutch to justify evil antics? What do you think?

you know something...im sick and tired of people bashing president bush for the war in iraq...do you people forget on a daily basis what happened on 9/11 or something? Thank god for united 93 and world trade center the movies because people in this country need to be reminded about what patriotism is. Put yourself in president bush's shoes 9/11 happens and you have people screaming in your ear that they want justice and they want revenge. What do you do? sit around and let it happen again? 9/11 taught us that america isnt bulletproof and there are bad people out there that want us to perish, bush did the best he could do in order to keep us safe and keep this country out of harms way. Also save your takes about how iraq didnt have weapons and blah blah blah thats nothing more than propoganda from Democrats that want to bash bush. There was reason to believe that saddam was making weapons so we went in to see even the UN thought iraq had weapons, not just the president and In the process we got saddam, that in itself is a major victory considering he is probably one of the most sinister men on this planet. The Democrats sit here and critisize but i would love to see what good ole bill clinton would have done, probably nothing, its easy to point the finger when your not in office isnt it? and your not dealing with all the carnage that comes with war and further more i am disgusted that the democrats have used this as a sailboat for the elections, i think the deaths of soilders and sons and fathers shouldnt be used for political leverage. Dont forget people, congress has to approve a war too, the president cant just say OK GO TO WAR! it must be passed through congress its simple checks and balances so there is blame to go around everywhere so is bush really that bad? or are we just blaming him for everything that is also faults of many other people on capital hill. War is hell, bottom line. No one likes it but sometimes its necessary. Had we not gone into iraq and afghanastan who knows how many 9/11's would've happened. War kills presidents, bottom line, look at Lyndon Bains Johnson, he did alot for minorities and civil rights and hes looked on as a horrible president because of vietnam. FDR was looked on badly because of WW2. People cant scream for war then expect nothing bad to happen and then demand everybody come home when things get tough, sorry folks it doesnt work that way. Moral of the story: get off bush's back, the democrats couldnt do any better and they wouldnt have either.

I have the feeling that he really does think he is a good Christian man who is there to save the world, but for real he has no clue how to do it and makes matters worse. People who think they are all high and mighty (even though they think they are good) are usually bad for society, since they cannot see that someone else might be right instead of them.

Either way, I would rather have an immoral rational man who knows he is not perfect doing good things than someone who thinks he is all good.

Neither. I personally feel he has set back foreign policy a good 15 years, done his best to assure that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, moved the manufacturing base out of the United States, created plenty of "Would you like fries with that?" jobs while his policies eliminate well paying jobs, and that is just the tip of the iceberg!!!
But, ........ I don't pretend to have the moral authority to determine if he is acting on beliefs, or is evil. Many terrible things have been done by the misguided in the name of God! I leave it to someone else to make that judgement.

I think you should have asked this in the political section, and not the parenting section.

As it is, I think our president isnt perfect, but i think the nation he leads, and the people he works with make it far worse than it ever should have been.

This war hasnt been anywhere NEAR as profitable as even the last gulf war, which was considered a costly economic endevor, and no politician wants to stay in a business that doesnt profit. Even our represenatives in office. They only make money when the country makes money. So a war for the simple fact that we need to finish what we started is never going to fly with them.

If we had the backing 4 years ago, i'd have been over then. But instead it was crap-assed funded, poorly manned, and no attention to detail was given. So here we are. Wasting time, money and lives on something that needs to be finished all in one big swoop.

Our president takes a lot of heat because he wants to follow it through.

A decent man. A good Christian man. And no where near an oil warlord. That is what I truly believe.

Bush seems to me to be a genuinly good person. Being president is the most stressful job in this country - and God bless him for having the guts to do it. Although the war in Iraq has turned out to be more negative for us than positive, we went in for the right reasons. Saying that Bush is making a mockery of God shows me that you are ignorant. This is why we have democracy, and why we all should vote. If you wish to sway more opinions away from Bush, this is a terrible way to go about doing it.

Anyone in his position will be faced with the same questions of morality. Clinton was an adulterer, yet everyone seems to have forgotten. Presidents are human too, so lets not judge, lest we be judged.....

He's a Christian, oil warlord. God doesn't figure into it.

Little Angel, is that you?
He's using it as a crutch.
And he is not pregnant as far as I know, but could use some parenting help.

to quote a guy who has about an same intelligence element, "stupid is as stupid does." properly, to be truthful, Tom Hanks playing a personality in a movie might want to be better precise. "My call is George Dubya. human beings call me George Dubya." "Mama continuously had a fashion of explaining issues so i might want to understand them." I received't quote "existence is like..." i'm ill to death of that line.
