How come when there is overwhelming evidence for anything that disagrees with belief in the bible, suddenly the evidence only exist because Satan put it there to cloud the minds of us non-believers.
Also, how come Christians pick and chose what theories or discoveries they want to accept and reject the ones that defy their belief in their bible; although such things as evolution has more proof than other scientific findings that Christians believe in? Such as the matter stars and galaxies are composed of, the parts of an atom, and other things you learn in science class? These are just as verifiable as evolution, evolution is more credible than some of the other things.

Sorry David, evidence found by a psychotic faith healer doesn't count as credible evidence.

The generalization of your use of the term "Christian" is equally overwhelming. A few fanatical individuals of particular factions of Christianity have voiced what you have stated above. That hardly means all Christians reflect the same belief. In fact, most don't.
Many Christians believe that God has in fact revealed these "thruths" to us so that we may progress as a people. Most believe that their God gives them insight/inspiration for new things. People may choose to use it for good or bad.
I don't believe that "Christians pick and chose what theories or discoveries they want to accept and reject " as you stated. I believe PEOPLE pick and chose theories...
For example, many people believe that the theory of Global Warming is a fact and all people of the in the world must conform to their ideas of what will prevent this terrible occurance. Laws have even been passed to "protect us from ourselves," based on simple theories of Global Warming, that are backed up by computer programs and technology that can't even predict a 5 day weather forecast. These people aren't of any particular established religion... Though they have in fact formed a group or sect based on theories - no proof - that mold the way that they think and act. If you go against them, then you are often labelled and sometimes even shunned.
Fanatics are fanatics - no matter what religious/nonreligious background they might use to enforce their ignorance.

No-and there's no fossil record. All we've is only a gaggle of bones from useless animals in the airborne dirt and dirt. there's no 'record'. All scientist have an same bones to envision, some imagine they see a "probability" for evolution, others see "accessible connection" the the creation tale, others do no longer. about 0.5 of the scientist believe in evolution, the different 0.5 does no longer. very comparable to our presidential elections- some believe there's a majority in there someplace.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan is the "Lord of Lies." Anything that comes out of him is not to be trusted. So if he created the fossil records, then I don't want to hear about it. Christians believe the Bible, period. The ones that pick and choose theories are a little confused in their beliefs.

It's hard for people to believe that what they've been taught isn't factually accurate. They want to believe no matter what, and they don't want to be proven wrong. That makes them cherrypick which bits of the faith they'll follow and which they'll ignore.
And, of course, to come up with ludicrous theories to explain away perfectly reasonable occurrences.
It's really very sad.

I am Christian...more specifically Lutheran. I don't believe Satan created the fossil record or unlock the human genome. That's ridiculous in my opinion.

1) You are absolutely right about Christians ignoring science that doesn't fit their beliefs. They do it on a subconscious level and don't have a clue their beliefs are indefensible.
2) You are wasting your time by attempting to open the minds of people who generally have no interest in opening their minds.
