Just a simple question. What gives illegal aliens the right to be so demanding while illegally present in the US and declaring a day without immigrants and stopping work. What go did that day do? If I was doing something illegal I would keep it low profile. What's your input?

All it did was p1ss me off! On that day there was a Mexican restaurant I used to go to, and they had a sign on the door saying they were closed for "Mexican Labor Day." I've never been back.

I feel it did their cause more harm than good.Any time anyone sees someone marching in the streets of the USA waving a foreign flag and shouting their demands and the subsequent desecration of the American flag then people get upset.A lot of older Americans that didn't have an opinion about illegals suddenly got one when they saw all that going on.A low profile would have been better but I think that can be blamed on La Raza Unida for pushing this on the illegal aliens to further their own agenda.

They think that there is a lot of support for their elligality, specially with the bleeding heart liberals and the ACLU. By being visual and vocal, they are hoping that the government will somehow give in and actually give amnesty. The politicians who are sitting on the fence are trying to keep away from the issue. I say, take a billion or two from the Iraq war and deport all the illegals out including their American citizen offsprings.

Exactly what I predicted would happen, happened. Nothing. The world didn't come to an end and no one appreciated not having their lawn cut for one day. If they really wanted to make a statement as to how we 'couldn't survive without them' they should go back home and see just how well we deal with the situation. I have a prediction that if that did happen, we would be just fine and dandy.

They have no rights and it did more harm to their "cause" than helped. It sure woke alot of Americans up though and I'm glad for that. Have you heard the latest DEMAND? They are demanding they pass amnesty in the first 100 days of the new congress. They need to get off this DEMAND kick for anything. I DEMAND you get your illegal butts back to wherever you came from. I can see them shaking....ha...no my DEMAND has about as much impact as their DEMAND. If they were smart at all.......they'd stop.

Many people abuses them just because they are illegal: they accept to cook, wash, repair... in exchange of less money than legal people, without any social support and so on.
Isn't it a double morale to accept that they live like that? to use them for work just because it's cheaper, instead of sending them back home? Since they are treated as worst-quality citizens, but citizens in the end, they complain as legal ones do.
I probably would not be so demanding, but I understand that some other people are.

I think its a bunch of crap as well. I live in a state with lots of illegals. When they held that protest day, I thought the cops should just go to all the marches and protests and arrest all of those that don't have a green card. It would have been sooooo easy. They have no right to complain, they are here illegally. Once they are legal citezens, then they can have a voice

The marchs on tv opened a lot of eyes. Yes for people that should not even be here, they do seems to think that they have a lot of rights. But I say, oh yes lets see more marchs, and yes right on coast to coast tv, every time they do this more and more people get mad. Each time it opens more eyes, we just hope soon the eyes of Washington.

becuase think they are an important part of the economy and they actually think that American citizens are too dumb and lazy to do the work they do
they are told this by racist Latino spokes people, really evil people like Latino studies college professors and members of La Raze and Mecha , even street level gangs like the Latin Kings
if they had any real power we would be seeing genocidal behavior by now and I'm not exaggerating
for the most part the illegals are just people like anybody else,, they are being brainwashed though
