Yes, but don't say on stand very long. You need to move around a lot and use the rain to your advantage (masks your odor and sounds). Most likely the only deer you're going to get is the one you walk up on while it's bedding down. I'd recommend you use a shotgun with one slug backed up my as many OOO buckshots as your tube will hold because it'll probably be a running shot unless you're very very sneaky. Look for them in heavy cover (dense pine branches that hang low) probably on the high ground.

Yes... its just as fun as hunting snipe in the day time....... I live in Oregon... we get a little bit of rain each year. If the deer didn't move, then they'd for sure starve. As far as in a thunderstorm, well I'd hope common sense would come into play here. I think it depends how long the storm is going to last and if they can sense that Then they might bed down for a day. If my girlfriend was nagging me, Hell, I'd be out at the tree stand at first light, and not leave until way after dark.

I have to agree with several of the ones who posted before me. I think it is highly productive to hunt in a light rain. One it quietens the woods as you move into them and about. It also helps to knock your scent down. If it is a hard driving rain the deer will bed up under cedar trees or in groves to try to stay as dry as possible. But if a light rain is possible I like hunting under those conditions.

The more time you spend in your stand or in the woods...the better your odds. I've taken several deer during bow and gun when it was raining.....now pouring rain in a driving storm....that's a no brainer. Deer won't move when there is too much wind or hard rain because they rely on their noses and hearing and both get messed up in those conditions.

only because of the fact the climate is, or replaced into awful out should not be a deterrent to going out and searching. the glaring exception to this rule is that if there are typhoon or twister warnings. definite, by using all skill circulate searching. you're as in all probability to work out Deer after a rain typhoon that at any time. probable the rain combating would have led to them to go extra desirable than common.

Why not? Deer live in the rain all the time where it rains a lot. They aren't wimps like us!

Yes,thats the best time, stalking is easier because everthing is wet and not CRUNCHY,they will usually bed down ,it also helps keep your scent down,of course if you are talking about rain coming down so bad that you cant see across the street ,then its better to stay in camp and play cards

It is worth it if it isn't freezing cold its worth it. A nice warm rainfall will bring the deer out by the dozens.
