There is nothing that can protect your PC 100% from viruses and spies esp. pnce you logon to a P2P software like limewire, but keep you virus and spywares updated all times and you will be generally protected at all times. Mishaps, can however happen.

Make sure you have a Virus scan, Firewall installed. Also, make sure to have an anti-spyware system. Limewire when you download has spyware. You can get free virus scan and anti-spyware system by going to www.downloads.com and download spybot. Its a good tool.

You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Don't download any files that are .exe or .zip, and never install anything without first running it through an anti-virus program. Make sure your firewall is on and you have the latest updates for these two programs.

dont download anything but music, dont use it, and atleast have a good firewall/ virus scanner! Just dont use it is the best thing to do but most of all dont download anything but music!

Scan all the files using anti-virus software first.....though you'd be better off not using it if you're worried about it...........
