I've tried the following batch file:
Mountvol F:\dmiso /D
mountvol f:\dmiso \\?\Volume{01234567-4297-11db-ab00-806d6a72696f}\
but it returns the msg: The parameter is incorrect.

I made up the GUID value for the volumeName; maybe, if this format is correct, then maybe I am asking how to generate a guid for my computer (That it will accept)

You can't mount a volume like you do in Linux in Windows. Even though it is the same terms and such they do things differently. Linux may have a virtual CD/DVD drive built in that you can mount iso's in but Windows does not. You need to have a third party software installed. I would suggest maybe Alcohol 120% or Nero6 or 7. They have virtual drives that you can enable to then "mount" the iso into the system.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree with mountvol. Check out a product called Daemon Tools from DT Soft.
