Lots of good answers here but beware the old adage - 'Two's company, three's a crowd'.

Having three cats is OK. I once had three. Getting two kittems from the same litter may help them settle in better and as you have a 3 year old cat, I would say to get two kittens as kittens like to play for the first year of their lives and I am sure your three year old cat still loves to play but would not like a kitten pouncing on it all the time. Go for it. You will only regret it if you don't.

I,ve got three cats, one I've had 8 years and the other two are brother and sister.Got the male neutered to prevent interbreeding! My older cat gets on fine with both but as she's THE BOSS there is the occasional hiss and slap!If you can afford both then I'd go for it,but introduce them slowly to your cat to give him/her time to adjust.I just sold all 5 kittens from my 2 year olds litter and 2 went together which I thought was nice(not so daunting in the new home with a friend!)GOOD LUCK

Hi you are prolly tired of reading answers by now. But if it was me and I only had 1 cat (at the mo I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and that is enough) I would adopt the 2 kittens.
Just remember each cat eats a tin of cat food a day and they will all produce lots of poo.
Cats are wonderfull refined creatures that are so full of big personality I can understand why crazy people have a house full of them. At one point when I was a child we had a 5 cat household (I brought in a pregnant cat when we already had 2 she had 7 kittens and we kept her and 2 of her babies)
anyways I say go for the 2 of them as long as you can afford to feed and vaccinate them.

You should get 2. When i got my kitten and she was quite isolated from our other 3 as she was new and they were unsure of her. Now one of of the older cats absolutely adores her, and the other two hate her. If you get 2 they will play with each other and keep each other company. Your 3 year old cat will hopefully love her new playmates, but if she doesn't they will have each other! I wish i'd got 2!

This question really depends on the person. Each individual cat is going to need expensive vet work and lots of time and attention. How much you're willing to give is up to you. But here are a few things to consider:
-You will be buying triple the food each year.
-You will have a very smelly litter box to clean every day.
-Kittens are very curious and difficult to control, so be prepared for ripped blinds and broken wires.
-When they're grown up, you will have three adult cats with individual personalities.
-You will have three cats that will each require their own vet services, including spay/neutering and vaccines.
-Three cats shed a lot of hair.
On the other hand, many people enjoy owning multiple cats. It's really a matter of preference, and how much you're willing to do for your cats.

Like several others say, it depends on how many cats you can afford. I have an acquaintance who has at last count around ten cats. Only half of them are hers, though, and the others are temporarily living with her until she can find other homes for them (we don't have any shelters around here, so there are some people who do that work on their own).
If you think that you can afford it, it will probably be a good thing to get them both.

Too Many cats really depends on your house, money and time. Having Three cats is fine. When you have more than 5 then you are a crazy cat lady get both they will miss each other and become depressed if you only get one
