so yea my parents are sending me to job corps and i was wondering if the teenagers were allowed to go and visit friends on holidays and if they were allowed to get visitors. i mean im onli 17 and this will be my first time being away from parents for an long amount of time. so i wanted to be comfortable and know what i was allowed to do and if job corps was like going to college before actualli going..plz help..

My niece is in job corps and is having the time of her life! Yes, you are allowed visitors. And you have time off on holidays (like school). They even pay you! The one my niece is in they sometimes all ride into town to the mall, movies, dollar store, etc. Good luck! And a little advise; take advantage of the education it will get you far in life!

we were not allowed to see or talk to our son for a month. he came home for holidays, and was able to go to the big city on occassion. we could visit him or call.
excellent program, my son now is in the IBEW electricians union. making excellent money.
