Most shareware software products will add an obscure registry entry or file that contains the date and time of install. During the uninstall of the shareware product, that specific entry is not removed. This stops someone from just reinstalling the product over and over to get more demo time. If you like the product enough to use it beyond it's demo period I would suggest purchasing the product. If you indeed require more time on the demo because maybe you installed the product but didn't have the time to try it out, you can contact the software's manufacturer and ask for a demo extension. There's no guarantee that you will get it, but it can't hurt.

roll back your computer date to some date where the trial program was running. For e.g. if you installed it before a month for a month trial period & it is completed today. Adjust your computer date to couple of days back.
Uninstall the program properly by using "Add Remove Programs" from Control Panel. And then restart your computer with todays (original date setting) & then try installing the trial version again.
Many programs runs like this........ but it still depends on you software.

When you first installed the program, it modified your registry, so, you'd better download a crack or buy the program.

I've been reading the other post that say you'd be able to simply delete every registry entry, this is not as easy as it sounds, it's sure the program made some entries with the form {sdsfas16651...} etc, so you'll have to spend weeks to find those that are related to the program... and you can damage your registry and leave your computer unbootable...

The only way to reinstall it is to completely uninstall the old program. This requires going into the registry and deleting all references to the program.
Go to RUN and enter regedit then look for obvious entries of the program and delete them.

It really depends on what the program is, if you remove all traces of the program from your computer, all files/folders, and any references to the program in the registry you may be able to use the trial again

Yeah, if it a game, try going to a different game hosting site and downloading that way. This works with a lot of the popular ones out there.
