there is a known problem,its tappets or the timeing belt ,check oil levels and oil type 5/30 semi sync.

Knock senors will only detect cylinder misfire-------------- Ford Probe is a Mazda in disguise and typically prone to noisy top ends, however this will need to be checked out properly by someone who knows what there doing. Not some bunch of internet surfers who can't see nor hear the problem!! including me!

this is pretty bizzare but ive seen a problem with this from a ferrari....and believe it or not...it was coming from a broken/flimsy/loose windshield wiper....make sure those are intact....other than that it could be a loose body part or possibly a transmisison problem

it common fault on all fords its the tappits as i driven fords for 9years and every car had the same problem

theres debris interior the fan which contain dried leaves it is going to flow finally,its a huge activity to take it aside so grin and undergo it till it frees itself(run the fan at 4 till it stops action of fan will destroy it down.),.
