As long as you believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, as long as you love and follow God, live an honorable and decent life and love your fellow man as yourself. I think you've pretty much got it covered, Each Christian denomination has such varying beliefs about "certain points" of Christianity, it's almost laughable. All you can do is learn all you can about them all, make up your OWN mind, and stick to your beliefs. You pick a Christian denomination to align yourself with based in which one fits your beliefs most closely. You don't have to accept every little picky point of any of them.

No you dont have to believe everything to live the Christian faith. As long as you believe in the Salvation part, & believe on Jesus, that he died for your sins, ask him to forgive you of all the wrong youve done, and come into your life, God promises you can be a Christian & He will save you, letting you go to Heaven when you die.
Many Christains live different ways, as long as youre doing what the Bible says is right, you dont have to believe or live standards others live. To be a Christian is to live like Christ would want, making that first step to become his Child-Salvation, and God will lead you from there. You will know in your heart what to do, and what not to do.

Within Christianity, there are only a few tests of faith:
1. Do you believe that Jesus was the son of God, born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, preached with wisdom and authority, performed miracles, cast out demons, and willingly sacrificed himself so that we could have a relationship with God?
2. Do you also believe that three days after he died on the cross, he was resurrected, and visited many people before ascending into Heaven?
3. Do you believe that he's going to return one day?
Those are the three basic tenets of Christianity. Everything else is human convention.

Becoming a christian means being born-again. Babtizm of the holy ghost and by water. Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and then repenting(turning away from sin). Start living our lives as Jesus did. The Holy Bible king james version is TRUE. If it helps at all, I have been saved for 8 1/2 years and I am addicted to meth, have been for 17 years, but I know God knows my heart and I war against the principalities of darkness on a daily basis in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.

A person cannot pick and choose what they want to believe in the Bible. You get the whole package. For instance, you cannot believe in nine of the ten commandments....because, say, you think that a little white lie never hurts anything, so forget "though shalt not lie".
That does not mean you believe everything you here man say either....when you study the Bible for yourself, you can ask the Lord for discernment for what is the Truth and what is man-made.
God Bless you!

Yes but many don't. If you believe 98% you have a head start on most Christians. Most Christians don't even know 98% and that's the truth. Kisses Betty.

To be a christian, you do kind of need to believe in everything most importantly Jesus' teachings. But just for now start believing that God is almighty and that Jesus died for all of our sins. You MUST also believe that there is a devil out there. Thats what christianty is about defeating the devil so u can earn eternal life. To me not believing in the devil is nearly just as bad as not believing in God! The devil may take you for granted if u don't believe in him. Bad things may happen to you either because u sinned or the devil caused it. Well if u dont believe in the devil u may start to think that God caused this and start to blame God. That's one of the MAIN points why Jesus wants us to be saved. Saved from the devil and the wrath of God that will one day be released upon evil men.

It depends on what it is that you don't agree with. There are many "brands" of Christianity and they all have different doctrines.
The basics are:
A - Admit that you are a sinner and have sinned against God.
B - Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross to pay your penalty for sin and that He rose again on the third day.
C - Confess Jesus as the Lord of your life. That means that you no longer live your life for yourself, but for Him!
If you do that, you will be a Christian. The other stuff varies depending on where you go to church.

You must believe 100% in the Bible, but you don't have to believe everything some Christians say they believe. If you love God and believe that he sacrificed His son for us that's all you need to be a Christain. Please do.

I think most people who call themselves Christians probably don't follow all the rules in the Bible, and there are a lot of controversies between different sects of Christianity over what those rules are, exactly, so I think you're OK. Some Christian groups are more lenient than others, just go to different churches till you find one that's more laid back about the Bible.
