Okay, I have curly hair. Not extreme curls, but pretty curly. Anyway, I need a new flat iron considering mine died on me. What's the best brand that won't fry my hair. I have fine hair, but LOTS of it. I'd prefer something that heats up really fast and gets hot enough to straighten quickly.

I'd like something that is ceramic, but not just ceramic coated.

Chi is amazing. I have extremely curly hair and my straightener makes my hair pin straight. Make sure you get the Chi Turbo one. It is black with red felt around the top with gold ceramic plates. It heats up quickly and is wonderful. I've had mine for about 2 years and I've never had a problem with it.

i bought a GVP straightener at Sally Beauty Supply. it works like magic! my hair is very curly and it heats up very fast. But there is no flat iron that won't damage ur hair. try heat protecting sprays they do work. just don't use the heat very high and straighten ur hair very slowly while on the high temp.cause then u will fry ur hair with any flat iron.

I have pretty curly hair too, and I love Chi. They heat up super fast, are ceramic, straighten your hair really quickly, and make your hair really straight.

They run from about $90-$200, but are definately worth it. You can look at them at http://www.folica.com/Chi_Flat_I_317_1.html and buy them online or at most beauty supply stores.

I would recommend the original Chi, but they all are great.

i`ve used conair and all that stuff, buht it`s just crapp. i have reely thick bushy hairr, and if the product i use works on my hair, it should work on any hair type cuhz i have the curliest hair that anyone has out there.

the product is called vidal sassoon. u can get it at rite aid or walgreens or any other pharmacy. my first in a long time that i used one of their products was the wet to set. i used it the first time and for the first time my hair was straight. the second time i used it, it poofed upp. i finally used it without wetting my hair, and it came straight. the rest of my time i used it regularly, without wetting my hair.

it broke after a year because the wire came out, which was my fault. i bought a different vidal sassoon iron, which is about $30. its small in width. u don`t need to wet ure hair for that. i used it for the first time, and it came out okayy. the second time i used it, it came out so goood. usually u won`t get perfect results the first timee. but let ure hair get used to the iron.

tips for having ure hair straught is to make sure its thoroughly dry. u should also put some kind of straightenign cream. hope u make a good decision in picking a straightener.

DO NOT BUY A CONAIR!

honestly spent $20 more dollars and get a salon professtional one.

I've had 4-5 conairs and they've all sucked!! even their latest one the red wet.dry one.

www.folica.com

I bought the blue and black Solia one off there...it is a famous salon iron, doesn't damage hair at all, I have extremely thick hair that is curly if I let it airdry...and this iron is amazing....it straightens without frying, or damaging and no frizz!!

chi's are crap....they work good for about 9-12 months and then break....
go with a solia...

the best flat iron is the one from Philips called Influence, it can heat up to about 320°F (which means that you can regulate the heat yourself) and it has ceramic plates. It has this beautiful dark blue color and really feminine design.

I have been reading reviews at folica.com, trying to figure out which iron I want myself. I have narrowed it down to a sedu or solia, NOT a CHI!! The reviews say the quality is bad and they do not last, they break after a year or so! The reviews on a sedu or solia are excellent!
Go there and read the reviews

chi or maxiglide i heard are the best and worth every penny.

i bought 2 maxiglides for christmas last year to give as gifts. this one actually uses moisture to help straighten your hair instead of frying the moisture out.

Professionals use the Chi.
I bought a couple on Ebay and was very happy. Saved about $40 each.

Chi is the absolute best, hands down! Ask just about any hair professional, and they will tell you. Farouk Chi Iron
