Yes there are and yes they are rare. Many of them where converted to manual later. They are not fully automatic but merely clutch-less. Yes. Its hard to find an automatic in the Beetle but they are out there. New Beetles its much easier to find.

hey if u like the old Vw beetles betta then the new 1's u can always change it from manual to auto its easy if u know sum1 who can do it like sum1 in ur fmaily i have my dad that put a V16 in mi vw bug
