Good grief. He's not sure but you have a chance! Get rid of him. You can do better than "you have a chance". You tell him that he missed his chance. Don't let anyone treat you like that. He's saying that he'll like you if nothing better comes along.
Dump him good if he says he wants to go out with you.

What is your age? If you are still with your parent (s), why aren't you asking them or someone with a stable loving committed marriage relationship these all-important life's decisions? One day you will look back and only be glad if you have kept yourself morally for the man who has courage, honor, and moral values as nothing else will matter. First ask yourself if you have the character traits that you desire in a future spouse? Don't chase boys but let them chase you!

He's playing you, tell him again, and when you tell him, tell him you won't wait for him to make his mind up, and if he figures out soon, tell him he knows where you live or something in those regards, and then don't talk to him for a while, let him come to you, It probelly might work, at least it will stop his game, and it will drive him nuts to think that he might loose you.

He'll drag you along like a fish on a hook for as long as he can, then he'll probably molest you. You'll feel pain about it for years, and enter a long steady pattern of dating abusive men. Eventually you'll marry one, have 10 kids, then finally leave him after he gouges out one of your eyes. Then you'll be back here asking if you should take him back.
