If Islam is a hatred religion and supports violence?

Why we dont kill everyone? You know there are billions of followers of Islam, if it says to us to kill infidels, everyone would do it, but it doesnt say and we are not doing it. Those terrorists are exceptions and every religion has the same terror actions. Why are you so stucked on Islam? We have to punish those terrorists not the followers of those religions. What do you think?

Who said Islam is a hatred religion?

Some in it spread hate in the name of God, these are the leaders of countries that want to use Islam as an excuse to keep their people under control. They are not holy people.

The true, peaceful Islam needs to stand up and be heard, and get rid of those that are promoting hatred and violence.

It has to come from within though.

Emotion counters logic...almost every single time it is used. Whether it's christian, muslim, hasidic, etc. terrorism is terrorism and unfortunately the media doesn't show all aspects of islam. However, there is a large and growing disenchantment of most people with the fact that there is not more denouncement of terrorism from muslims and calls for it to end. I'm agnostic...as in i think there's a god but we don't talk right now...but if i was go blow up a building or kill large amounts of people I'm pretty certain every even headed agnostic out there would quickly talk about how "They don't agree with my tactics" or "He's crazy" and that's what the world wants to see from the muslim community (in my opinion).
The fact of the matter is tho, the media is playing a part in this as is stereotypes, perceptions, etc. Open mindedness is easy until it has to be practiced.

People will always dislike or hate that which they do not know or are afraid of. It is easier than doing the research and obtaining the truth. However, it can be stated that the largest reason for it in the US is because of anti-muslim propaganda that the news stations report. It is made to appear that no one who is not an extremist is speaking out against the violence. Of course I have seen both sides on the other stations and my heart goes out to those who are being hated simply because the smaller terrorist faction seems to be screaming louder than the peaceful faction. I really don't think it is the intention of islam for it followers to act violently , however there are violent undertones which may be misinterprutted by many who read it and take it out of context, i think the fact that we as westerners don't see many of you coming out and publicly disassociating islam from the actions of these fanatical followers which give your relgion a bad name, the irony is however that even if many muslim leaders comdemd these actions people in countries like the U.S , U.K&Australia would never hear about it due to the anti islamic sentiments prominent in the media of these countries

It's a shame that we lump terrorists and all followers of Islam together.
I am an atheist but have always been told that Islam is a peaceful religion and that true believers/followers are peaceful people.
It is however very difficult to view it as a peaceful religion when so many terrorists get public attention for acting upon Islamic beliefs.

Becouse islamic countrys were declining after their "great " golden age when they islamise by force the entire Middle East the whole North of Africa and they were threatening also Europe. Thats why crusaders starts, to defend against islamic attaks or muslims dont know their bloody history ??? They always complains about crusaders but they forgot the fact that they started to attak and islamize by force .

i agree, its important to stop the terrorists before things become worse than they already are (though I can't see how violence can get much worse than what has been going on throughout history). It seems to me like one reasonable solution is to inculcate values of tolerance, peace, and justice in the current and future generations of children so that they grow up with understanding of what is right vs. wrong and not engage in violence.

You find me a chapter in the Quran that orders Muslims to commit voilance.

If Islam is spread by the sword then you tell me this there is 14 million Muslims in Arabia, If Islam is spread by the sword then why aren’t those 14 million Christians Muslims.

Islam prevents all that causes suffering, voilance, hatred, abuse etc. Even if you you go out clubbing and drink alchohol and have a girl friend your still Muslim but a very weak one.
