If you think she is really in pain, and as her mom you know best. Keep taking her to doctors until you FIND THE ANSWER.
If however you aren't sure try this idea. Some kids fake injury to get attention from their parents. Particularly if there are siblings taking up more of your time. So try to set aside a half and hour each day for time with just her. (When daddy is home, or whatever). And maybe a special trip every other week, or whatever. Children need individual attention and to know you love them all the same. Which can be tough when other siblings need more time.
When she balls up ask her if she wants mommy to read a story to her alone or something.
I may be totally off base, I have no idea what your life is like or what is going on from two sentence. If I am just ignore me. ;-)

Dont let these people scare you kids come up with the crazy ways to get attention. I saw on nanny 911 a girl kept telling her mom she gets foot cramps they already to her to the doc. So when the mom rubbed he feet she stoped crying. I experienced the same thing. Heck i was one of those kids. She may have hurt her back at one time and got alot of attention. My son sweats alot he is 4 and its getting better. Now the sweating and the tailbone pain my not go hand and hand . Young people have immature sweat glands. The tail bone could be a back problem. But since you said she states it gets better when you rub it. She could only just want your attention those little ones have a way of doing that they figure out our weak spots quick. Next time let her keep crying and don't help her to see if she will stop.
O and also my lower back hurt like that when I'm constipated chk her stool.LOL or wen I doing sit-ups improperly. Look on childrens hospital medical center cincinnati see if any condition have her symptons. But most of the time my doctor tell me if your able to console your child and they stop crying then it may not be a serious condition. aprilgroomes@yahoo.com Ps. Some things kids just grow out of . My son breathing was kind off when he was a baby and the doctor explained to me in alot of african americans nose are more flater exspecially in young kids, he will grow out of it when he gets in rythm . Now he breathes excellent. The reason Im so concerned for you is because I went thourgh the same type of senarios with my 1st son I was so scared I drove Doctors crazy. Let me know is this your 1st one.

If her tailbone always hurts it could be fractured - I fractured my tailbone 4 years ago and it was PAINFUL - there was no way I could even SIT.
How does the timing of this correspond with her having a BM? Is she straining to go or constipated at all? Maybe irritable bowel or muscle spasms?? Obstructed Bowel? She needs a Dr. appointment - the fever/sweat is the part that worries me.

My son (3) freaked my out so bad, he would be on the floor and try to get up and it looked like he was struggling and he would get winey, well nothing was wrong with him, it was for attention for momma to get him but your situation with the ultrasound being negative is good but that sounds strange, my son sweats alot but so does his father and papa, I would be concerned too but just give it some time and see where it goes, you will know if it worsens

You need to take her to the doctor ASAP. She might have a fractured tailbone from a fall. Or she might have an inflammation of the ligaments in that area. This is certainly not normal and she needs to be seen by a doctor.

If it's her tailbone; I know of someone who's tailbone hurt really badly, and she had a spider-like tumor around her spine near her tailbone. It is more common in children, so a pediatric neuro surgeon was called in to take care of it and she was fine. I would take her in for an xray, she more than likely just bruised it.

Please dont mess around with yahoo q&a. get her to the doctor.
if you dont have health care then go to the county you live in for help. it may be nothing more then growing pains but to me it sounds serious. get it checked out before it could get worse.
