is there any possible way that you could be getting ahold of something you're allergic to? swelling of the throat is a very dangerous condition. and is most times caused by something you're allergic to. also, swelling of the throat can be caused by undiagnosed acid reflux disease. your esophagus can become inflamed from damage caused by the acid coming up in your throat.
I don't mean to bother you, but how much faster is the problem progressing from the time you first noticed it? is it getting worse by the week? day? hour? minute? I'm just wondering because if it's getting worse by the hour or minute, you need to get to a hospital asap. have you noticed any swelling in your tongue? and when is your scan scheduled?
If you want to write back we're all here for you. and will try to help.

Is there obvious swelling or does it feel like something stuck in your throat?

I was diagnosed with Cricopharyngeal Spasm.
It feels like I have something lodged in my throat, like a golf ball.

Stress is usually the cause. A muscle relaxant was the test I was given. When the lump appeared, I was given a valium which made the muscle spasm disappear.

Now, I try to control the symptoms with warm tea, less stress and yoga.

Lymphnodes? Maybe you are fighting an infection. Are you sick? Tonsels, Apnoids...

It could also be something more serious...have more tests ran.
