I am at work and it is cold and rainy outside and I just wish that I was at home with my cats, especially my 4 month old "Maggie." I am just wondering what they are getting into, and if they are comfortable at home, if they are hungry yet, etc., etc. Am I normal? I must need a life, or a man. . . .lol

Hi Mia...it's quite natural that you would be thinking about Maggie. Perhaps you probably recently adopted her and the bond formed between you two has inspired your maternal instincts to be concerned or worry for your furbaby child/kitty. You are very normal to feel this way and this demonstrates you truly love her and want the very best for her as well.

NO ur normal. Or maybe we're just both wierd :) I know every day I think about my cat, and I just want to be with him. I think that its becasue we view them as our bothers and sisiters, and as our children, and best friends. Its hard to be away from a best friend or family for a while, so we miss them.

Hang in there.. they miss u 2, so make the most of the time you have with them.

:)

A lot of mothers who have to go back to work and leave their children under care or at home with someone feel the way you do. It is not "weird" and a "life" or a man should also be in your future.

You’ve tapped into your mother-instincts part of the brain when thinking of your cats! That’s all, your weird and you don’t need a man cause you’ll just be more stressed out thinking of your cats and then if you man is behaving as well!

Are you kidding? I think about mine all the time. Of course, I have been called not normal before. LOL It's always worse when they are new. You still think about them when they are older, but when they are little, OH, boy, I can't wait to get home and play with them.

Sounds to me like you're just a loving parent. Cats are remarkable independent and self-sufficient. Though they are appreciative of when you're home, I'm sure they are just fine when alone. They get to do all of the things that you scold them from when you're away.

Oh that is lovely. I love to hear about people loving their pets. I do the same when I am at work - I think I hope that my dog and cat are okay. Maybe we have separation anxiety from out pets.

I love my kitties more than anything in the whole world. Most people would say that we are weird but I think we are just really good "parents"!

You are normal. You just love you cats, nothing wrong with that. Just make sure before you leave to leave them food and water and also toys so they wont get bored.

You are perfectly normal. When I first adopted my Juma (who is almost 5 months old) I was sooooo worried that he was lonely and crying his eyes out.
