Any truth that was in there has been long obscured by the lies that preachers and others slipped in.
Many of the scriptures contradict, which is why the vatican edited and changed the bible before releasing the "official" version a millenia ago.
Would God really hings our salvation on the acceptance of a doctrine that exists in such a book. Created and maintained by a church that hides pedophiles, persecutes homosexuals, lies about condom use, and places women beneath men in relation to god?

The Bible is God's Holy Word. He inspired men to write down what he wanted us to know about him. Nothing has been added or slipped in as you put it. There are no lies in the Bible. Just because you cannot understand it, you think that it is full of lies. I suggest that you talk to a pastor to answer your questions. I believe that the bible is true all the way through. I think that you need to examine your heart and your relationship with God. If you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, then you don't need to question the bible.
God will reveal himself to you through his word, if you just open your heart and allow him to do that. I will be praying for you.

People need something to believe in that they feel comfortable with. Its like a 'blanky' for a 1 and 2 yr old.... some kids are even a little older that have their 'blanky'.
The bible was a way (sneaky) way to try and create peace between the people and to create order in society. It was a way to 'brainwash' and 'control' people. It is the oldest and the RICHEST 'brainwash' sceme that has ever been invented and followed.
The BRAIN is a very powerful tool. Only most have no idea what thought waves can actually do. Before something is made, or invented physically......... its a thought first, right? Everything is a thought before a reality. The more you put 'thought' into, and the more people that put 'thought' into, someone or something, it starts to manifest and become REAL. The Heaven that everyone speaks of and says exists, exists only because of thousands of years of millions of 'thoughts' going into it. Hell is actually diminishing because over these thousands of years, millions have refussed to believe in it. Including Christians. Why? Because a Christian can't bare the thought that their child or husband or other family will be there instead of Heaven. SO, they block out the thoughts of Hell and just concentrate on believing that they are going to be together in Heaven.....
The Bible is a gimmick......... and it is the RICHEST gimmick in the world. People are going to be very disappointed in their findings when all truth is revealed. The spirit world and the physical world are already starting to colide into one another. Time is hitting close and things are not going to happen the way the Christians think they will............... Because humans need something to explain the unexplainable, like what happens after death. It has always been that way. It is just like how people would explain events in nature, like stars and storms, on the Gods, b/c they didn't understand it and needed to have some kind of reason. So, until we totally understand everything, there will always be people willing to make up bogus explanation to explain events, and there will always be people willing to believe it. And the weird thing is the more corny and fake sounding the explanation, the more people seem to buy into it. Christains don't beleive in fossils, but they believe in Angels and think Heaven is made out of gold. Right.

You never know. We may actually be living in an insane and horrible universe which is run by a God who controls the minds of the men who change the word of the Bible. Maybe the new versions are the correct versions. Maybe they will change even more. If there is an all knowing and 'perfect' God, maybe he wants people to distort the word of the Bible. Maybe a lot of us are in big trouble.

Show me one contradiction in the Bible and I will believe you. If there have been corrections, it's so the it is closer to the original writings. That's why we still intend on learning the original language it was written in so we can know it better.

If your talking about the catholic church then yes I Agree with you on some stuff, but the Bible has been proven to be correctly translated. King James order for the bible to be translated real well if not he would personally kill the translaters. Yes catholics have changed the bible to stear more their direction but we must not get catholics and christians confused.

I wonder if you ever read it yes its been translated but not changed it meaning. it is Gods word and he can speak to you through it Jesus is his gift of salvation there is no other way may God bless you.

I have no idea. Paul wrote his books with the specific purpose to leave his words open to interpretation. He knew that he himself could change any scripture to fit his needs. Just my opinion.
