Add a good squirt of lime juice when adding your other ingredients. And when you finish add the avocado pit(s) to the guacamole. That will keep the guacamole from turning brown for at least a day.

lemon and lime juice won't stop your guacamole from turning brown, I don't think there is anything that will completely, but I can tell you what will at least slow down the process... leave a avocado pit in your dip after you have mixed it up. I have tried this a couple of times and it does slow down the browning of the dip.

you can use lemon or lime juice but the best way is to save the pit from the avacado and put it in the guac when finished. honestly it works like a charm

I use a dab of lemon and always leave the avocado seed in the dip. I am assuming you are talking about making guacamole dip.
