i want my boyfriend to be more caring and charming with me but i cant really tell him and i dont know why.

There is a way you an make him change
most people feel as if you cant change another person and stay with the person who remains stagnant...The whole idea
(well, one of the many)
behind a relationship is change...its has to be mutual however.
Relationships should grow together so both people don't feel as if they are obligated to see each other.
They should be constantly trying new things and learning about each other...there is so many stories in their life they can share together. No matter how small they may seem, you can see another side of them...you must respect all aspects of a person. This is the purpose of a girl friend/ boy friend...You are dating...you are researching this person...you want to find if their is love there...
But how to change him if hes not charming/ caring?
You can't tell him because you are afraid of what he might say...that he might break it off..and you still very much enjoy his company...you like waking up and knowing that you are socially tied to someone that you feel is permanent (its a great feeling, I know)
If he is not caring, you need to find out just why he isn't...
1. Could he possibly be taking this relationship a little bit slower than you want?
2. Do you not feel open enough to discuss your relationship because it is still in its begginning stages?
3. Does he have things to concentrate on?
4. How is his family situation?
(4. Usually you can tell if a boy is caring by the way he treats his mother...if he is caring to his mother he knows how to be a caring person. if you are not receiving this treatment (although its a slightly different one) then its because he doesn't know if he can trust you just yet
Boys like when a girl knows what they want without us actually telling them...they feel connected...
This all could be one big mistake however...maybe he just doesn't care for you..maybe he shows no involvement whatsoever...
Hopefully this is not the case because you are showing an effort to make the relationship stronger...but it might be?

You CANNOT change people. You can live a positive influence in front of them but if he isn't already charming and caring, HE NEVER WILL BE!! You are headed for an abusive relationship if you don't change the co-dependent mind-set and begin valuing yourself as a whole healthy human being who can be happy either single or married. I've been there, done that and you don't need the heartaches on that journey, sis. God bless your search for a good man who will be true to you!

If you can't be open and honest with them then what does that say? In a good relationship you should be able to open up and talk about anything. However you can not change a person. He may just be that way.

The first mistake is to think you can make someone change, you can't. The second mistake is not having a open line of communication. If you can't talk to him about something that effects your feelings, you're gonna have nothing but trouble down the road. You first need to make the effort to let him know your needs, if you can't, you have no-one to blame but yourself!

You can never change a person. They must do it out of free will. Just mention a few things you like, in a casual way. Do not be afraid. Honesty is the key.

If you can't tell him face to face then you have business with him. You should be able to talk to him about anything. If you can't, then you need to leave and find someone with the qualities you're looking for.

Well... maybe because the communication level between you both isn't as stong as it should be. You really need to let him know what you need from him other wise he'll never realize your not as happy as he thinks you are. You can turn things around and act the same way he acts towards you and see if he likes it.

first of all you cant change a person. it is what it is, secondly he should treat u always like you on your first date. respect and showing your true feelings with the one your with usually works always ... third dont be scared to tell your feelings to him about this its something to build on and if you dont have this type of open communication then its time to move on

You can tell the right guy everything and he listens because he is interested in what you are saying and takes the advice you offer him because he cares about how you see him and he wants to please you.
