For not respecting & mistreating women? What about these verses in the bible, Deuteronomy?
But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
So if a man rapes a non-virgin, then he is put to death, BUT if he rapes a virgin, then he must pay her father & marry her? How is THAT fair?

Because you do the same if not more. You blame the Bible and the Christians. Read what you posted, you did the same that you accuse others of doing to you. That is why.
Christianity and Islam have their problems, but you look at the Christians and don't look at yours, that is the problem.
Here is an idea. Look for the good in others, not just the bad. You might find that Christians are not such a bad people, and many of them don't want to harm you, or convert you as the Muslims would like to convert the whole world to Islam. Look for the good in all of us, not just the Muslims.
Read your Quran better. In Islam if a woman get raped, they kill her. Just one of many negative things in Islam.
In Iran, a young girl was about to be to death for defending herself and her niece from attackers who were just about to rape them. The court order to kill the girl who defended herself from rape. That was last year, not hundreds years ago. Islam still kill the women for being the victim in rape. That is Islam. You see we can all pick at each others, and find fault in each others, not just you.
By the way, the above is from the old testament, that is not Christians.
Peace to you

If she is a non-virgin during that time, then obviously the woman must be considered married, the man who raped her must die for it because as he violated the woman and she may not be accepted anymore by her husband. If she is a virgin, then the man who raped her should be responsible for the woman as she no longer will be fit to be chosen as a wife by another man. Don't think of non-virgin in these present generation when virginity is no longer so much an issue.

you're incorrect. the only place you will discover stuff "against the goyim" is on anti-semitic web pages purporting to furnish sections of the Talmud. The classic factor is the two to make stuff up, or take out of context something that for the period of the Talmud is a proposition that's then demolished. once you're heavily involved in Talmud, which I doubt, there are techniques and places to verify - merely ask. Judaism is in fact accepting of others having their very own paths. we don't insist that they exchange into Jews or be condemned to "eternal damnation". We merely ask that human beings lead a righteous existence, meaning this variety of factor that all and sundry sane and civilised human beings consider, like no homicide, no robbery, having a justice device. EDIT: stupid Dicky F - you're utilising a mendacity source. purely for a start up, the Talmud does not "supercede" something (i assume you mean the Tanakh, quite than the translated and re-arranged Christian "old testomony"). absolutely everyone has been able to acquire an entire Talmud for as long because it has existed in print. If by 'watered down' you mean shortened, properly, the entire factor is nearly huge, you realize, and maximum people who are not Jewish scholars have not needed to plough throughout the time of the lot. yet no-one exchange into prevented from getting the lot! nearly all of it particularly is remark on Torah, that's why it particularly is absurd to make out that it supercedes something.

I only base it on what I see in practice today. You can find bad things in everyone's writing and history.
In the Arab-Islamic countries the women are treated like pets. That is from what I observe. I really don't know or care if that is about Islam or just a cultural thing. Everyone there seems to say it is about Islam though.

Because it is easy for Christians to blame the Quran rather than look at the Bible. But this is obvious with the high numbers of rape, abuse and murders of women in western countries.

Because they are being hypocritical and/or they have never really read the Old Testament. I am sorry but you cannot say that slavery, murder, animal sacrifice and degredation to women were just the 'context of the times'
God made man in HIS image. Read the Old Testament folks and don't be afraid of finding out what God's real nature is. It doesn't mean he doesn't exist or is any less faithful in his promises.
Congratulations on your courageous question!

Another example of eastern tradition; the bible is filled with this..just like the Quran.
The only difference is that while Muslims still keep old traditions...like stoning women to death, Jews and Christians don't.

So, whomsoever God intends to guide, He expands his bosom for the acceptance of Islam; and whomsoever He intends that he should go astray, He makes his bosom narrow and close, as though he was mounting up into the skies. Thus does God inflict punishment on those who do not believe

Aw, old Testament. Lets see, we are not Jewish, and do not live before the time of Jesus. How do I know these verses no longer apply?
17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

In Bible it is in context of an incident which occured when basic human laws were being formed! It is history. Jesus came to set the laws right!
Quran, propogates to follow these rules even today! That shows Muhammad was a bigot!
