I presume you mean hypogeal ... this word is made up of two Greek words: hypo (meaning below) and ge (meaning earth) [adding the -al just turns it into an adjective in English]

So, the answer is: b

Hypogeal germination is usually associated with storage cotyledons.

Epigeal (above ground) germination is usually associated with photosynthetic cotyledons ... these open above the ground because the young plant needs to produce its own food ASAP.
