For they (sects, false churches) all pervert the Gospel of Christ for their own agendas, and I wonder if any of y'all have heard of I Corinthians 1:10-13??

I Corinthians 1:10-13 (KJ21)
10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11For it hath been reported unto me about you, my brethren, by those who are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12Now this I say, when every one of you saith, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ": 13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

"Denominationalism" was wrong nearly 2000 years ago, and it is STILL WRONG today!! Jesus died for 1 church, His church, not for many churches. We are commanded to have NO DIVISIONS AMONG US!!!!

All of these sects (or false churches) of today are like the Pharisees, Scribes, and Sadducees of the Bible.

The root of all beliefs are NOT the bible. Check out sacred-texts.com & see how many other religious texts exist that have nothing to do with the bible & existed centuries before the bible came into existence.

Did you know that the bible you read is not complete? There were many other gospels written that did not make it into the bible. The ones that did were decided by the Council of Nicea in 787 CE (that's AD to Christians), led by roman emperor Constantine.

You can read most of the gospels that were left out by buying a bible that includes the apocrypha. You can also read other gospels that were found among the dead sea scrolls at gnosis.com.

The root of what?

All religious belief?

Not even.

Religious beliefs develop differently in different places. They develop differently because the people who develop them live in different physical circumstances, different physical environments.

All religious thought begins with explanations of how the universe came into being and how life came into being. This is going to be very different in various places: lush jungle, arid desert, cold places where life depends on hunting instead of plant food, etc.

Since the fall of Adam mankind has had a need to be his own god therefore from the time Christ brought us the truth many have perverted it to their own glory.
This, in no way, takes away from or diminishes the real message. It is simply each mans duty to seek out and push aside the Adultrous manmade idols to find their way to the Cross.

Because many do not want to hear the truth. They want something that will please them- something that makes them always feel good- they want a feel good relegion. When of course Jesus Christ is the ONLY true Joy! But still they do not want to submit to the truth of the Bible- because that would mean they would have to give up their sinful lives....they have no idea how glorious it is to give up sin! Nor how serious the consequences of sin is.

2 Timothy 4:2-4
2preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3For the time is coming when people will not endure sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

There is so much to the Bible. God gave us more to study than we could ever learn in a lifetime. And since we are human, and have our own wills and ideas, they aren't all the same. That's why I'm a believer, but I don't have a religion....because religion is based on man's interpretation. Sometimes I see why athiests are atheists, but they are wrong.

Because Satan keeps turning himself into an "angel of light" in order to deceive many and he has succeeded in blinding people so they are unable to see the truth that the Bible contains. People follow the traditions of men and do not adhere to Bible principles.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 says of such ones--"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
Also at Matt 7:13-14 it states--"Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it. For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it."

Who are the few who find the road to life?
"--let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment." Romans 3:4

Because it takes two to communicate--one to give a message and one to receive it. Like any book, a person's interpretation of the Bible is going to depend on their experiences, environment, state of mind, etc.

Jesus was a very spiritual guy and no doubt saw God in his own way. However, he was not a Christian and did not invent Christianity. A load of power hungry maniacs came along and started using his life to start wars and steal money and they fought (greed) and started making up stuff and interpreting things in differerent ways and so you have all of the modern peversions of one hippy guys ideas.

Because we pick and choose our interpretations, primarily in the grey areas, and also by not considering the Bible as a whole.
Inductive study helps.
