yarmulkas, burqa's and large crosses in all public places? And, what would such a ban achieve?

This is a growing debate in some European countries with the most recent one in Amsterdam where the "burqa ban" might be going into effect soon.

My opinion but, when you begin to ban religious 'regalia', you take away from who a person is and we become frauds. You can't change what a person believes and should not take away their right to practice their religion. People have to be allowed to express who they are as long as it doesn't harm anyone. Our world is becoming to Politically Correct. What happened to just being fair?

Ban is bad, but making religious symboel irrelvant is better.

So openly making fun of such symbols is better then oppresingly banning them. ( Say a burka with a short skirt :)

No. Take away religious freedoms, and what stops you from taking away freedom of speech? I think it's a way to control people into believing in one ideal (and in this case, a no religion is a good thing ideal)

It would serve no purpose.Even if we did it in the U.S.,it would not come any closer to destroying religion than the other things they've tried.

Religion of all kinds including Christianity will never disappear. It's here forever.

I am for it.

Religion should be left to private institutions and the home.

It's the signs of the time; when the cornerstone 'Christ' is removed, the great house will fall.
