God tells us not to marry unequally, meaning to not be of different relgions. He doesnt care about white marrying black, no matter what the white supremicists tell you. Its not a black , white issue. Its a spiritual issue. Because if we arent on the same page in our faiths, not likely the marriage will turn out, and God hates divorces, it destroys all, including the kids. SO, no a pagan could never marry a Christian and ask God to bless it, He wont. It is sin, as God says it is wrong. We either believe in God fully and ALL Of His word, or we dont really believe it. God says that doing this is wrong. Who are we to question God/ He only wants to protect us. But, it is not about marrying a different color, not if they are the same religion of Christian, and on the same page. How can you raise a child with a muslim daddy and a Christian mommmy/ My goodness, you raise very confused kids. This isnt not just THIS Christians views or another. This is what GOD SAYS, and that settles it for any true Christian.
And God does not do it to rob us of anything good. It is to protect us. Ever watch a Christian lady trying to raise her kids year after year, onlly to go alone cuz she is married to an athiest, and then see all the pulp bullonie that goes to the kids????? It makes life hell for everyone. once in awhile the other will come around to Christianity after a long time, but by then its hell for everyone and the kids are confused. Its to preserve the sancity of marrige, which is a good thing. If we could only see that all God takes away is for our own Good. Press on with the questions and go to God alone for answers. He knows all. before we even ask, just wants us to ask to renew our faith and make it stronger.

We're all human; some Christians marry other Christians and others don't.
Some people marry as non-believers and one spouse gets saved and the other still remains a non-believer. My pastor married an avid church-goer when he was 19 and unsaved. He got saved in 1972 at the age of 25 when he attended a Billy Graham crusade when he lived in West Virginia. Today, he now runs a church here and his mission statement is to reach 40,000 for Jesus Christ.
I hope to marry a God-fearing man in the near future. The idea is that the marriage is Christ-based; that you trust God to help your marriage and make Him the center of your household. That also includes child-rearing.

It is written for a Christian to only marry another in faith.
A recent study out writes that when Christians marry there is less divorce, only if you calculate in church attendence. So marriage is more successful in equally yoked Christians who are obedient to God.
To be unequally yoked, is spiritual discord. Because the Christian is spiritually born of God. So, sex isn't as good because there isn't the spiritual unity in it.
Disobeying God in any area is a sin, and we reap what we sow.
Also, it is written that blessed is the man that finds his woman... So, God will bless a marriage between a man and a woman. But if a person marries somone not born of God when person is born of God, there is spiritual discord where Christian is usually persecuted by unsaved spouse.

The marriages are valid in Gods eyes. But what God is concerned with is that the new beliefs will turn the Christian away from him, and that the children may not grow up with Christian beliefs.
I think it goes back to the old testament, when God warned the Israelites not to marry into the other nations around them, or the people inhabiting their lands because those people would turn them aside to worship other, but false, gods.

Scriptures tell Christians not to be unequally yoked together with non-believers. But God in His wisdom has made allowances for man's disobedience. 1 Corinthians 7 speaks of marriage between a believer and a non-believer. The non-believer's life is sanctified by the believing spouse. He/she experiences the same blessings from God that the believer receives.

Yes, it says:
2 Corinthians 6:14
[ The Temple of the Living God ] Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Why would someone who is saved in Jesus Christ want to marry someone who is not? They would have no foundation in their marriage.

I've never heard of anyone except fundamental (aka, extremist) Christians not marrying someone from another religion.
My Catholic friend married a Baptist...
My Catholic aunt married an Atheist...
My Christian mother married a Wiccan....
My Christian best friend married an Agnostic son of a gay man...
