im shy and i really dont know how to approach this guy that i like he talks to my mom alot but he never talks to me and he is the manager that works at a grocery store and he came and sacked for my mom one day and he didnt have to but he was checking me out

First find out if he is single.
Then you say, "Hey, if your not busy this weekend; would you wanna go out and maybe see a movie?"

It would be easy for you to strike up some casual conversations the next few times you go the grocery store (maybe you can make some extra trips!) and let the questions come out naturally in conversation - ask him if he's seen any good movies lately.

Does he ever look at you when he is talking to her? Get a group of friends together and say casually when you see him he we are going to the movies would like to go. If you ask him to go out just the two of you, it might scare him off, because he may not really know you. Approach him and just talk to him about normal things and when the time is right ask him.

has your mom ever said anything to you, about what he says when they hang out together, because It looks like he goes to your mom for advice.
I seriously think you should talk to him, you know stuff like so are you going to blah blah blah with my mom saturday night, nothing too awkward, and that will get you into conversation with the guy. If he doesn't ask you out, when you become good friends, then go up to him yourself.
I think theres nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out, who ever said a guy had to anyway?

Reverse the rolls. Let him ask you. Just my opinion, but I don't recommend a girl asking a guy. When and If he is the guy for you, he will ask you out. Be a lady, full of grace and don't try to play the pursuer.

Tell your mom to tell him to ask you out. Or you can just ask him out. I don't know why girls are afraid to ask guys out. We aren't asking you out because we don't know that you're interested or we're afraid of the embarrassment of rejection. Most guys would be thrilled to be asked out. Just lay down the law at the beginning of the date; e.g., this is not a booty call, I just want to get to know you. Then have a good time.

If he wanted to take you out, he'd ask. You could start by saying something like "Do you like James Bond/Borat/-whatever movie you choose", and let that be an opener. If he says yes, say "Would you be interested in coming with me?" Make it sound casual.

well just start little conversation with him first hi hello you know..then you should say one day we should get together and hang out you seem cool..and then say something like man i want to see this movie but i hate going by myself and that should give him the hint =]

well if you're really shy just write him a note.(sounds childish but its one way to try). if not just work up the courage to say hi whats ur name or at what time you get out. try to find out if he's single or not. have your mom be nosie and use it for your advantage.
