Lay off of the sugar and junk foods and sodas. That alone will up your immune system, and your mental outlook! Then look for fresh veggies that are colored! For instance, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, dark green like spinach. These are all full of antioxidants! Stick to lean proteins; chicken, turkey, fish and soy bean! Throw in some salmon or take an Omega-3 cap in the morning along with 400 units of Vit. E and get at least 10 min. of sunshine (Vit. D which your body does not produce) and you should be feeling tip-top. It's hard to get in every nutrient you need, so take a good multi-vitamin. I recommend Dr. Taub's (see QVC.com). So happy you asked this question and inspire others to eat well! Godloveya.

Citrus fruits have lots of Vitamin C, which has been shown to boost the immune system. Personally I take an affordable extract of Camu Camu berry (the most concentrated source of Vitamin C known to man.) I think this is the easiest way to get the RDI of Vitamin C everyday from a dietary source. It cost me less than 3 dollars a month to get 100% RDI everyday. Read about it at http://www.bartenblends.com
edit - P.S. Camu berry also contains some very powerful antioxidants. It even contains the same anthocyanins that are in the renowned Acai berry.

I ate one orange everyday and made sure I got 8 hours of sleep each night. It made a big difference. There may also be some truth to the old saying, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Anything with a lot of antioxidants. A lot of fruits and vegetables and teas are also really helpful. You should try White tea. They sell it at Borders or they have more flavors at the store World Market.
