LOL I guarantee whoever solves this mystery someday will have more$$$$ than Bill Gates! It's in their DNA. There's NOTHING to keep them from it. They have to grow out of it. Good luck!

One note about the spray bottle: I tried that with my cat and the next morning I woke up to big pile of poop in front of the litter box. Cats WILL get you back!

By keeping a spray bottle full of water around. If your cat climbs the Christmas tree say "no cats!" and then spray them with the water. Make sure they don't go outside in the cold when they're wet.

Well, Its in a cats nature to climb trees and do destructive things sometimes. The cat is just exploring its natural ability and intinct which is to climb trees! The older it gets it will stop.

try spraying them with a water bottle everytime they get near the tree. After a few times of getting sprayed they will leave your tree alone. Also get non-breakable ornaments for the bottom of the tree or don't put anything within reach. Good luck!
