Everyone is vulnerable to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Infants are more vulnerable to everything because they're infants.

because they can throw up alot, and in doing so they can lose a lot of fluid, if they are not drinking enough they can become dehydrated, there bodies are so little that they do not work like your and mine.

Because they are so small, they don't have a lot of ANYTHING to spare, especially water. A case of diarrhea and in 24 hrs they can be dehydrated. You really have to watch them when they have diarrhea!!

i used to be dehydrated when i was little because i never realised i was thirsty
