I am going to be going to Basic Training in the next few months. Any advice on how to start training for this?

Run, push-ups. If you are going to an airbprne unit, start doing pull ups. If you can do it, start eating healthy food (not health food store food), like lean meat, vegetables, fruit, and high carb and protein food. Start your runs every other day. If you are a beginner runner, run for five minutes at a slow pace, walk one minute, run again at a slow pace. every other day, do as many push-ups as you can. Sit-ups and crunches every other day. If you have access to a gym, use light weights and the stair master. These worked well for me to get back in shape. The main thing you need to do is work on cardio-respiratory conditioning and endurance-strength conditioning.

well it all depends where you attend Basic training...if your doing Infantry training in Ft. Benning,GA you might want to start running because if you dont...well it really doenst matter...trust me they will get you in shape! but the other basic trainings are much softer! but yeah...try running a **** load...

Stay up for 20 of the 24 hours in a day. Have someone yell at you, run, do pushups, run, do pushups, repeat.

a lot of running and push ups make sure you are in good shape before you go because they are going to expect you to be.
