I thought Baptists didn't condone this kind of leadership of women in the church. Or is that just Southern Baptist?
If the leadership is allowed, than why couldn't the Pastor ordain her?

normally a Baptist church would not allow a female pastor. it's against the characteristics listed in 1 Timothy

I am a female and I know Joyce Meyer is know as a pastoral postition and preaches. However, I don't feel that a woman should Preach the Gospel in front of the church. However, the Bible doesn't tell Woman that she can't give the gospel but she can't do a sermon.

This is akin to saying that the Tea Party is a bunch of liberal activists trying to make ultra-right wingers seem really extreme, thereby forcing moderates back to the left. WBC is really a group of atheists, therefore potential faithies will be thrown the other way. In both cases, the answer is 'no', based on Occam's Razor. It is OKAY to accept there are genuine lunatics in the world without having to turn to a similar form of lunacy to explain them.

It would all depend on the laws of the area that you live in. Ordination (at least legal ordination with right to marry people) are set up by the government over your state or province. It ca't just be done by any pastor.

this sounds reasonable...teh chosen pastor shoud know this. .. but you can call the local city baptist association and ask them.

Friend, I don't believe in woman Preachers, there is no bible for it, In fact there are many scriptures against it.
