Ok, Here is the deal, The OS(Operating system) like windows or Mac has very little to do anything with how fast you can send or receive files. It all depends on the internet service provider and the plan that you have chosen (Bell South, Comcast, SBC, etc). There are different speeds provided for both uploading(sending) and downloading (receiving) anyfiles. If you call your provider and ask for those details, they will be able to provide you with the information. The reason why video download is slow is simply because those are huge files to download. Because the person you are receiving from cannot send very fast, it could be their connection not yours.
