so, we're supposed to learn from these pornographic DETAILED verses that people used to have sex? I think the fact that mankind hasn't become extinct would have been a clue to that, don't you?

proverbs is talking about a wish of fullfillment for the man, that he never feels the need to turn away from the one "god chose" for him. It also means to take care of your spouse, for you don't want them to feel the need to turn from you. "Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers" (proverbs 5:17)

Most of these versus have completely different meanings. I will give you a brief comment on each one.

Proverbs 5:18-19 - Sex is good, you should enjoy it inside Marrige

Song of Solomon 7:7-8 - this is poetry, there lessons to be learned from the book as whole, but it is different from most of the other books of in that each verse doesn't have deep meaning

2 Samuel 11:1-5 - this is the story of David and Bathsheba, it is much bigger than these few verses and teaches us about David's weakness for women and the consequences of such actions

Ezekiel 23:1-20 - this is using sexual promiscuity as a a metaphor for the unfaithfulness of the descendant nations of Abraham

Genesis 39:7-15 - this is the story of Joseph and Potifer's wife. It shows that Joseph was loyal even in the face of sexual temptation

Genesis 19:30-36 - Lot and his daughters, incest is wrong and yields strife

Genesis 19:4-8 - this is the story of Lot in Sodom when angels came to visit him and the evil men of sodom came to rape them. This teaches about the depravity of Sodom, the wickedness of sexual immorality (emphasis on homosexuality) and how Lot had become corrupt by living in Sodom

Judges 19:22-29 - a story or sexual immorality and its consequences.

I hope this answers your questions, I tried to be as brief as possible. In a more general way, I think that what we can learn from the bible about sex in general is that it is a good and wonderful thing within the bounds of marrige, but that sexual immorality is evil and those who commit it will suffer grave consequences.

Proverbs 5:18-19- the context has to do with keeping away from the immoral woman/ adultery & to rather enjoy the wife that God gave you.

Sex is great! And is designed to be in the context of marriage.

God designed sex- to form offspring. Many married couples had sex in the Bible- this is actually God's will, for married people to be physical in that way. As it says:

Ephesians 5:31
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

Reprehensible verses can be taken from the Qu'ran, the Bible, or the Torah.

Pot, meet kettle.

In fact, you quote Genesis 19: 4-8.

My dear, here's the Quran version of that same story... what makes one pornographic and the other OK?

Hud 11 -

11:76 (It was said) O Abraham! Forsake this! Lo! thy Lord's commandment hath gone forth, and lo! there cometh unto them a doom which cannot be repelled.
"Lo! there cometh unto them a doom which cannot be repelled."
Doom in the Quran
For disbelievers a painful doom

11:77 And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was distressed and knew not how to protect them. He said: This is a distressful day.

11:78 And his people came unto him, running towards him - and before then they used to commit abominations - He said: O my people! Here are my daughters! They are purer for you. Beware of Allah, and degrade me not in (the person of) my guests. Is there not among you any upright man ?

The story is then retold in Al-Hijr 15.

I didn't read them all, but what I saw was a loving natural love relationship between a man and women that are married. There is no porn in the bible, don't be ashamed of your body or the sexual relationship you have with your mate. Sex was not just created for reproduction.

Keep everything in context. It comes as a shock that God's word speak so openly about sex. It's a gift of God for both procreation and pleasure, within the bounds of marriage. Those who refuse to keep sexual intimacy within the bounds of the marriage bed will suffer the consequences of their actions.

Well, all the verses you chose have to do with sexual relationships, good and bad...physical and spiritual...proper and improper....

there are alot of incidents in the bible that show us the sinfulness of man, the weakness of individuals, the happiness of a marriage relationship, the folly of sexual immorality, etc....

just remember all scripture is equally inspired but not all scripture is equally inspiring....

understand?

Nothing porographic about these verses,,nothing at all, unless you take it is a bias manner in order to place it in a context that suits your ideology to force your point of view.

Sorry, I'm not about to spend 3 hours looking up the full text of your citations only to have my answer disappear onto page 6 in 20 minutes.

Please keep the quotes down to a reasonable number, and provide the full text. Thank you.
