okay, well, here's the sitch. What the hell is wrong with Christians? I get they believe in this guy and all that, but why do they get so damned cocky about it? I mean, it's like they think everyone should be Christian. I hate those people who talk in public about how to 'find god', well, I'm sure if evey eligion started doing that then Christians'd get bitchy. And why do they outcast other religions? So, let me narow it down to this question: what is up with Christians?

It's simple they actually hate this God that uses the threat of hell to lure them in and now they want to make sure the rest of us are as miserable as they are.

They can't have a good orgasm anymore because their God has an eternal limp dick and so we are evil if we have sex! (Unless your a priest then have all the gay sex you want God understand)

first, in response to the anti-muslim guy, never forget the witch hunts and the inquisitions and the crusades... they were exacted by "good christians" and are no better than the suicide bombers.

OK, what's up? christians are taught from childhood that they're right and everyone else is wrong. they go to church once or twice a week and submerge themselves in this indoctinization. they are never asked to double check anything, think twice, or to question. interesting because double checking is actually suggested IN the bible. so for years they are given this praise as being now "perfect in god" and see all others as dirty and low. it's completely subconscious. most christians are not constantly thinking how gross a nonchristian is and in fact consciously try to love them (most)... but after years of this indoctrinization they know that eventually you will burn in Hell for all eternity. talk about an awkward "going away party" that would make for. my point is this: religions that teach the "i'm right, you're wrong" are embedded with the very root of arrogance and "pride."

You are right- it's sad, but true. The cornerstone of a relationship with Jesus Christ is Love; Not judgement, condemnation and an aire of superiority.
Us Born Again Jesus Freaks are so excited about the joy and peace we've found its hard to surpass the urge to tell everyone. It's the "Aha!" we've searched for our entire life for. Like a good deal on a car or a great read or a movie- we feel we ought to share it.
When someone asks me what the difference is in my life; they seem disappointed with my answer. Like hooking up with The Creator of the Universe is wacky. I agree there are too many agressive folks proclaiming the love of Jesus and that just does not compute.
Please do not let these people define Christianity.
It is not the job of the disciple to convert- we are encouraged to share. No matter what a person says it is their actions that speak the loudest.

if you had cancer and you found a cure..one that HEALED your cancer, would you want to tell people? Even if it may sound weird, or people may take it wrong? What if you found a drink that took away problems...would you just keep it to yourself, or would you want to encourage other people to use it??
I am a christian, and I have so much proof of how God has changed my life. If you could see where I have been, and where I am now....the things He has done for me..I am not ashamed of Him and I will tell anyone interested what He has done. That said, I never PUSH anything onto anyone. If someone asks...I'll tell...If someone is interested, I will tell. I realize that if someone's mind is closed, I can't get in and I won't PUSH anything on anyone. i would LIKE for everyone to have a relationship with Jesus, as I KNOW that their lives would be much better, as mine is. I feel Jesus IS the cure and I would like to share, but I won't ever try to force the cure on anyone. People have to have the desire in their heart. I feel bad for the people who do go overboard...they may WANT to help for the right reasons, but their approach is all wrong and they end up turning people OFF to God. No one is perfect, and because there are "bad christians" or ones that act silly, or get too pushy, etc. does NOT mean that God is bad, or not real, or a lie, etc. It just means that people are flawed. All of us in some way.

What is not to understand? They have a monopoly on truth based on a book written long ago by men who thought the world was flat and disease is caused by demons. Not only that, they believe it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their superstitious beliefs down every ones throat. We just have to marginalize them, which may mean an all out war against institutionalized stupidity.

If you believe in God, an all powerful, omniscient, omnipresent, loving Father, and people cast aspersions toward Him, you get defensive. It's similar to someone talking trash about your family - you don't like it very much. However, we as Christians should temper our responses with Christ's love.

We spread the Word of God because we are commanded to do so. But more than that - we want to introduce Jesus to everyone because we love you (plural) and want to spend eternity with you. However, we should be letting God do His work in others.

We don't condone any other religion because they are false - Christianity specifically states there is no other way to be with God than through Christ Jesus.

I know my answers are probably not what anyone wants to hear, but it is the truth. I am in no way trying to offend anyone, just answering truthfully.

Well, I used to think like you, until I became a Christian. There is unmatched peace and strength and love when you accept Christ as your savior. When you accept Christ, He comes to live in you. Before, I used to think "yeah, right".
But it's true. You know it, it's a tangible real feeling and you will never understand until/unless it happens to you.

Remember, I used to feel animosity for those "Bible thumpers", and I would avoid them. But, when I turned to God and accepted Christ, my whole perspective changed.

I want that for others. I also want them to understand that eternal life with our Creator is a GIFT. All you have to do is accept it.

Being a Beliver is awesome. My life is filled with hope and a future.

If you swallow your pride -- which is what keeps most of us away -- and look into what Christ did for us, and how much God wants fellowship with each and every one of us, and you accept that gift, you are in for an awesome, wonderful life -- eternally.

We Christians just want that for you. That's why.

I am a muslim and my best friend is catholic. We did not speak for nearlly four months due to her not accepting me for me and my different beliefs. We are now good again. And she has learned a lot about her religion from me. I have actually studied religion. They I find are quite intolerant of those with different beliefs, but I thought christianity was all about love thy neighbor. I do not believe the even follow their scripture. ( the majority anyhow)

Let me answer your question with a hypothetical situation.

Let's say you see me doing something that you believe with all that is in you will end up in my death. I, on the other hand, don't know this - I'm not familiar with it and don't even see any danger. Should you say anything to me? How would my widow and orphans act toward you after you calmly say - "Oh, yeah, I knew it was gonna kill him. But it would've been rude to tell him....."

The death that non Christians face is far worse.

Christians are required by our faith to spread the word, but we do not demand that you become a Christian - our responsibility ends with telling you the truth.

Every religion speaks in public about their faith, not just Christians. Perhaps your viewpoint is a bit limited and does not see the entire picture.
