I'm looking at a cheap set of clubs that look and feel pretty good, but I can't find any reviews one way or the other on them. Anyone used them?

Hello Mrpeppy

I have never used them myself so cant give you first hand info on them. I think an answer befor mine from ksingh gives you some quality info.

However I have seen them and they are a classy set of clubs, sort of resemble a cross between Calloway and Hogan Apex.

I particularly like the hybrids that come with them, thats a bonus. Hybrids instead of long irons are the way to go .

If you are able to get them under 300 dollars it would be a good deal.
Good luck and happy golfing.

Leon

Go to: http://www.golfsmith.com/products/W5601
Click on REVIEWS, to read reviews, they have two of them.

It is a very good set except for the driver. It is a fake titanium, titanium matrix. Replace that with a good new driver. Also it comes with a 5-wood and a 3-hybrid. Those are the exact same club, same loft and same materials. See which one you hit better and throw the other one out. That leaves you with 10 clubs. You're supposed to carry 14 so then you need to buy a 52, 56, and 60 degree wedges. And you also need to buy a putter.

If that seems like too much work or too much money, the Adams Tight Lies 13 Piece Set in your other question is a better golf set.
Can see reviews for that at: http://www.golfsmith.com/products/TL1040

You won't need to exchange, or get new clubs in that set, just maybe a 60 degree lob wedge. It might be hard for you to hit as it has low irons like the 3-5 irons. If you can hit these, by all means get this set, it is cheap and the quality is as good as a $2000-$3000 set. Or maybe you can stiil buy it and replace the long irons with hybrids. It is up to you.

Hope this helps.
