I've been wrong many times in my life, and I always felt gratitude for those who corrected me on any issue .
So why do people resist correction so much ?
Why do people disregard directions on the right path to take ?
Do you see this as a bigger problem than previously in history ?

I once was lost, but now I'm found . Was blind but now I SEE !!

Biggest help comes from his word and his Spirit that he has given us.

"If you are spiritually 'lost' and don't know it.... . . .Wouldn't it be brotherly of others to Help ?"

Yes, except for the very basic problem that the situation you describe can just as easily apply to those brotherly helpers: they, too, wouldn't know they had lost their way, so they are busily offering help!

"Why do people disregard directions on the right path to take ?"

You seem to take it as read that the question of the right path has been settled! Apart from individual convictions, most clearly it has not. Those who think it has, but also observe people not accepting this, have little resource but to impute wilful blindness or moral culpability to those who do not conform. Unsurprisingly, that doesn't go down too well.

Yes, but you also said you've been wrong many times in your life. Is there no possibility that there is still room for one more?

What religion are you specifically talking about and what religion is the person you are trying to correct? In life in general I know what you are talking about. Its like looking at a jigsaw puzzle and you know how to put the last piece in but the person doing it wont listen. Very frustrating. Well yeah its a bigger problem for the converters because last time people just tortured and killed to "help". If it is a person of the same religion as you Id see how it would be frustrating but if they are on a completely different path leave em be. Have fun.

Because all too often people's 'corrections' involve their egos -- they're convinced they know the right path and have the right information for others and try to push it onto them. Then there's a whole set of expectations and dynamics set up that becomes very unhealthy. The best thing is to just be there for someone and to get your ego out of the way. If there's any thought that the right path is a particular religion or belief, run away because you'll do more harm than good.

This is one of those times in your life where you are wrong! Here I'll be a nice brother and help correct your error.

You think a bible is true but if that bible is true then God predestined who would be in heaven and who would be in hell. Roman 9:21 - 23 God created some for distruction and some for glory. Revelation 17:8 if your name is not written in the book of life before the foundation of the world you go to hell.
The truth is your God is a power hungry bastard that only cares about himself!

This God will tell us one thing. LOVE ONE YOUR ENEMIES!
Then turn around and torture his forever! Can we say HYPOCRITE!

You people confuse reality with fantasy. Certainly, I would be thankful if you corrected me on something REAL that would actually affect my real life. But instead you are warning me about something that is only real to you - not me. So, it is not appreciated when you come to me and tell me that I am not living a good life when I am doing nothing to hurt you or anyone else. Thats just plain ignorance and egocentrism.

You want to give me directions on the LA Freeway system, thats fine. But I dont need directions on how to find a non-existent Heaven occcupied by a non-existent God. But thanks for offering.

But what if we think we are on the right path. All paths lead to the same place it is just the scenery that is different. I feel Wicca is right for me and you feel Christianity is right for you, so who is wrong? Neither of us, for that is the path each of us chose.

You can't force faith down someone else's throat, they have to make that choice for themselves.

Blessed Be )O(

Greetings!

Spirituality and religion has became so intertwined that many believe that they're one and the same...and they're NOT! One is infinite and the other, finite. And whos to say that in your lifes errors that you were "spiritually lost" as you put it?????

Yes but only if you don't ask questions on Yahoo.

Non believers who ask serious questions on yahoo are ridiculed, belittled and reported for abuse by short tempered vengeance seeking Christians who only give a damn about themselves. It's a really interesting and sad social experiment.

I am not lost. I gave up religion as god had failed me many times. I am a very happy man.

BECAUSE I WAS RAISED BY A CHURCH SECRETARY, HAVE AN UNCLE WHO IS A RETIRED MINISTER AND SPENT MANY A SUNDAY PLAYING ALTAR GIRL AND LIGHTING CANDLES BEFORE HEADING OFF TO SUNDAY SCHOOL, AND BECAUSE I WAS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD I DIDN'T BEAT THE SNOT OUT OF A TEENAGE PUNK THAT LOCKED MY MOTHER OUT OF THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSROOM WHERE SHE WAS TEACHING AND BRAGGED ABOUT HOW FUNNY IT WAS TO ME AT THE SUNRISE SERVICE ON EASTER THE FOLLOWING WEEK.

NOW WILL YOU LEAVE US THE F*CK ALONE?!!!?!
