I have been a chirstian all my life? Am I missing something?
maybe you all have been going to different churches than me..but I'm an episcopalian, what do we know anyway.

In Mexico, Catholics call Protestant Christians; separated brothers, I guess that's as far as that gets.
But you are right, We don't see them as infidels, because God teach us to love and not judge.

Infidel:

Probably because Infidels (literally, "one without faith") are people who don´t have faith, and in the Islamic mind those who don´t believe in Islam have no faith.

In Islam, the Arabic word kafir (كافر) refers to non-Muslims, often in a derogatory sense, and is usually translated into English as "infidel" or "unbeliever". The Turkish equivalent of "kafir" is giaour.

In Islam, there are countless terms for non-muslims:

Kafir
Unbeliever
Infidel
Dhimmi
etc..

The reason being that the Quran declares the "enemies" and thus its necessary to use terms that make them feel less human. So, the less human we are, the easier we are to hate and murder for Allah.

I've heard Christians call every other religion the work of Satan, demon, false religion. They just use different terms, and are more encompassing.

ive heard much more rude remarks from christians towards muslims then ive ever heard from muslims toward christians.
