I'm not a Dr. but this is what I do and it really works for me, specially if I'm in the office. I would suggest to do some pressure on your hands between your thumb and your forefinger. Right there in the middle of these two fingers there is a spot that when pressure is made helps to relief the headache. Do this until the pain get less and less. Besides this you might also need to rest (no computer, TV, read, etc) Try to close your eyes and focus on the colors you may see when your eyes are closed. Hope this help!

There are a couple of folk remedies. If you press your thumb and forefinger together on the muscle right under the webbing between your thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand, that is supposed to provide relief. A friend of mine swears by it. I swear by lavender essential oil. You can dilute it with a base oil such as sweet almond or it is mild enough to be applied straight. You apply the oil to the temple and rub in for a couple of minutes. After about 5-15 minutes you usually start to feel relief. I stopped getting migraines after using this method. There is also peppermint essential oil. This oil must be diluted as it is much too strong to be applied directly. I usually use 2 drops per tablespoon of base oil. Rubbing this on the back of the neck can also provide relief for headaches. If I have a particularly terrible headache I will use the mint and the lavender. I buy these oils from either a local massage shop or ebay. Good Luck

Sounds like a migraine headache. If you like coffee they say drinking a strong cup of coffee will help a headache. Sometimes I do that before I take meds for my headaches. Also I was told by a dr to apply ice to a headache. So if it is in front wrap an ice pack in a towel and lay it over your head for a few minutes. I get headaches in the back of my head and I lay down with an ice cold water bottle and it works (sometimes)

APPLE,
I do this all the time, I suffer from extreme Migranes, and medicine only makes me vomit.
Apples have acertain chemical that is found in pain relievers, try it, or get some pure organic apple juice. It works wonders.
Also my Drama teacher taught me this, presure points, rub the muscle between your index finger and thumb,. rub it firmly, you will get a sharp paibn and when you stop rubbing the headach won't be as bad, another pressure point is in the arch of you r foot.
Try those, along with the other answers you got, the mint tea works, and I haven't heared the warm beer trick, but thatnk you sunspot guy, I'l have to try it.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Amazing, but it works. Massage the fleshy part between your thumb and forefinger. It will probably be uncomfortable to start....
That just means it needs it. Some folks call it the "toxic spot". If all your nerve endings are in your fingers it makes sense.

Mint tea can be one thing that will help, birch bark tea will work as it has aspirin in it, or some can do it with pinching the area between your thumb and forefinger for a half minute or so.

Alternate between ice pack and heating pad, or you can rub peppermint oil (found at health stores) on your head, jaw, and neck....just don't get it near your eyes or nose!
