One night stands leave you feeling empty if more relaxed. Self respect comes into play too.
Once you've had a loving coupling, one night stands just don't stand up except for momentary relief of sexual tension or to cure a headache.

I'd prefer to have a regular partner, that I was very sexually compatible with...one night stands requires getting to know a new lover (likes dislikes) every time, higher risk of STDs, etc.
