My son is biracial and he deals with racism alot. What you have to do is stop worrying about what other people are thinking or saying. They are haters that will never see past color. You should be with your boyfriend if you love him. Be strong and be with who you want. Don't worry about other people's reactions. It's your life. Unfortunately there are still ignorant people out there. Be happy and I wish you and your boyfriend the best.

I'm married to a white man and have been for almost six years. We used to live in Southern California; there's so many different people there so it wasn't an issue for us. Even when we've traveled to other states, we've never had any problems. We live in a state that is predominately white; someone at my husband's job used the N word in a discussion. My husband graciously, but firmly, explained why the word was offensive and inappropriate.

People are rude because of their own feelings of inferiority and ignorance. If you love your boyfriend, and he's a decent man, that's all that matters. I actually feel sorry for narrow-minded bigots or people who haven't been out in the world and just don't know any better.

The one thing I will say is this: is when people have commented on us, they always say how much in love we appear to be and what a wonderful example we are. For me, I just love the person he is, regardless of color. Enjoy your boyfriend and be happy.

People are going to be what they were programed to be. A lot of people have been programed that "black" people are a bunch of ignorant, violent savage animals much like the white people when america was being built. Almost all murder cases where i'm from involve a "black" person. So I feel for and your boyfriend but it's something that your going to have to live until racism's stops and the person is viewed not there race.

Yes, my bf (I'm blk & he's asain) and I are in an interacial relationship. In the beginning we would get all kinds of stares and rude comments, so we just laughed them off. After a while we got tired of it and would comment back to the people that would have the snide remarks. It doesnt hurt either one of us, it just shows us that people are people and as long as his family as well as mine dont care then we surely dont care what others think.

Those people see you as a traitor to your race and him as a traitor to his race. Those people should just realize that you guys are just happy with each other. I am black and have many mixed race relatives with mixed kids who go through this regularly. I dont hink you guys can avoid the looks and gossip, just be happy with each other and ignore the haters.

I can't relate to your situation, but yeah I imagine it would hurt or feel uncomfortable. Just smile at them sweetly and feel sorry for them...people with narrow minds and such intolerance are to be pitied. They allow themselves to miss out on so much.

that lets you know that there is still racism out here in this world but just because people critise you all love that doesn't mean you have to stop loveing her

You'll have to grow thick skin if you insist on dating him. The talk isn't going anywhere. If you think it's bad now....wait till you have kids with him and then they will bear the brunt of the talk.
