In the last hundred years people of the Earth have went from knowing very, very little about themselves and this life... Today we can communicate with anyone, instantaneously... We can now say that we know all we know, but not all we will know.

Who's next?

If you could talk to God, what would you say?

I talk to God everyday. In fact, he asks us to talk to him. He asks us to lay our worries, fears, hopes, anger and even blame on Him. God can take it. All of the hate, anguish, and hostility that people have toward each and toward God, He asks to lay at the foot of the cross.

I know that a lot of people are searching for the "why's" to every possible question. Yet, can we really understand all answers from God's eternal perspective? I don't think that we can.

However, that doesn't mean that we can't ask Him... the skeptic might say "what good is it, I won't hear a thundering voice is the clouds." No, you won't...but, you will hear a thundering voice in your heart, and God will give you assurance that He is Sovereign over all.

Personally, I've said everything to God...some things I wish I hadn't said. Let's put it this way. I used to be the "intellectual skeptic" who said that speaking to God was useless. Yet, I gave up and spoke and I have assurance of who I am, who He is, and where I'm going. I hope that you do the same...

I do talk to God. Everyday, many times a day. What do I say? Well, it depends on the day. Everyday I praise Him and give Him Glory. Thank Him for being who He is and loving me. I sometimes petition Him for requests. Sometimes He answers my prayer in the manner in which I wish it to be answered, other times He chooses something different than I would have chose, but I trust Him. He is God and knows what is best for my life.

I don't understand all of your question. I think people one hundred years ago knew just as much about themselves as we do today. At least the important parts, who they are and what character and moral fiber are.

I agree that we do not know all that we will know in the future. That is part of living. Learning and growing in wisdom and grace.

It's incredible how human race has evolved over the years. The things technology can do! I believe that everything in still under God's perfect plan, and all that we have is for His purposes. I can talk to God, through prayer and He listens! But I were face to face with Him, I'd ask Him why He put me on this earth, and for what purpose!

I would not go so far as to say that we can communicate with anybody anywhere. We can be electronically connected to somebody in space if we want to, but if they are speaking Russian and we don't speak Russian, you are still not "communicating". I've had what I thought were quite clear expressions of my words be grossly misinterpreted. Communication is a process - take a communications class to see what I mean. As to what I'd say to God, I'd say "thanks for giving me a brief shot at life and experiencing some of the things that it offers".

People have always been able to talk to God instantaneously. It's called praying and I do it all the time about anything and everything.

If I could talk to God? I can talk to God, and do. I say anything that is on my mind or in my heart.

Say what? What does what mean?

I do talk to God. I thank Him for a new day, for health, for my family and I ask Him for safety and protection.

If a god actually did exist and I could say something to it, I would say:

“God, you have a lot of freaking explaining to do!”
