I don't know of any doctrine saying that Goliath was from the Nephilin. I think that this was just created by unlearned individuals. There is a big difference between the doctrines of a religion and what the adherents actually claim they believe. As far as I know, Goliath was just a very large man, nothing more.

Noah and him family weren't wiped out during the flood but I don't think that he was a dec. of the fallen angels. Actually he was the only person who loved God at the time of the flood. Maybe it isn't meant to be taken literally maybe its just saying that Goliath was an evil person and he is being likened to a fallen angel.

The theory of fallen angels or of any angels commingling genetically with man is based on a misinterpretation of a pre-flood passage in Genesis. The passage does not actually mention angels at all. It says "sons of God" married "daughters of men" and refers to the fact that the "Christian" or God-fearing men of that day married worldly girls who had no interest in obeying God. This, as is ordinarily the case, corrupted the Godly, rather than elevating the ungodly. And this is why God sent the flood to cleanse the earth later.
As for Goliath, the Bible is clear that there were giants before the flood, as well as after. It is quite possible that 20-foot tall men, or taller, at one time roamed the planet. I have heard that scientists have uncovered some enormous human skulls, but have kept them hidden because they are unable to explain them. Even in recent history, a few very tall people have existed (check Guiness's records). These may be throwbacks from ancient genetics.

First the Bible doesnt say that Goliath was a decendant of Nephilin. And second, Noah and his family (his sons and their wifes and Noahs wife) survived the Flood. So there was still generations carried down thru them. But no wher ein the BIble does it say anythign about Goliath being a decendant of fallen angels. Hope I helped.

That's not even vaguely Scriptural, He was a big Philistine. Thats all we know.
Given his grossly abnormal height (traditionally believed to have been 9 feet, 6½ inches, or 291 cm), some have suggested that he suffered from gigantism due to a growth hormone-secreting pituitary adenoma. Given the pituitary's position adjacent to the optic chiasm, pituitary masses also tend to impinge on the decussating fibers delivering images from both peripheral visual fields. This causes bitemporal hemianopsia.
Some have suggested that this may have allowed David to sneak up on Goliath and deliver a fatal sling shot to the Philistine.

Who said the nephilin were fallen angels?
Who said Goliath was one of their decendants?
These are myths without foundation.

I'll have to find it, but I know I saw somewhere a study saying that some of the men survived the flood. Something like 1/3 of the earth was wiped away or something like that. My parents and I were just talking about this last night.

Well, in the story of David and Goliath there is no mention of the nephilim or him being a descendant there of.
I today's world there are people who have bone and pituitary's diseases that grow to unusual height. It is quite likely that Goliath had some sort of deformity that made him unusually large.

Well not all mankind was wiped out during the Flood eight people survived Noah, his three sons, and their wives. We know Noah paternal lineage but we do not know his maternal nor anything of the wives. I do not know what DNA they carried with them on the ark, for they had to carry all of our current DNA with them. I also do not know if nephilimism (if that is a word) is recessive or not. And maybe when it did resurface and that group of people were wiped out or those genes eventually were bred out. This is just my thought on it.
