It's hard to tell ,
Quintana is a natural Welter and a very good one, so cottos ability to take a welter punch will be a question. But Cotto had faced better opposition over all and should carry more power to the 147. IMO.
I'm going with Cotto on this one on a thrilling fight by Split decision . I expect to see some Knock downs also, in what could turn to fight of the year.

Quintana will win this fight unless the judges rob him. Cotto is stepping up for the first time at Welterweight against a skilled boxer who I think will be too much for him. At 147 Cotto won't have the huge strength advantage he has had over guys like Branco, Corley and Maliganni. Quintana has spent his career at 147 and proven he can beat real punchers (Joel Julio). Although Julio can't box like Cotto he sure can punch.
Quintana is a real slick boxer who patterned his style after Whitaker. Although he is not as fast a Whitaker he has more power. Quintana is a real solid defensive fighter he has great skills. Quintana will use his natural size and boxing ability to frustrate and win a unanimous decison over Cotto.

Cotto is way overrated....he is an absolute joke. Quintana KO in the first 5 rounds.

This will be an interesting fight. I see Cotto knocking him out in the later rounds or winning a decision.
