I do not know about emo hair, but you could take a look at some sites with examples of hairstyles. I added a link to a nice website beneath. And maybe you know a good emo band you like, where you can imitate some haircut from?

Pick up a fashion mag. You'll get tons of ideas from that. I have long bangs, which I love. I stole the look from the model Angela Lindvall (the new Fendi ad campaign features her) except the color - I am brunette, not blonde. Google images of her to see what I'm talking about.
