does it feel like your walking on knives for a while then it lets up? You could have heel spurs which rip into your muscles every morning until you get used to the feeling causing heat and pain. I would go to a podiatrist. They see things like this all the time. And no, you won't see any indication whatsoever, but MAN does it hurt.

If the skin is burning and hot to the touch but you don't remember any physical trauma to it, you might have a bacterial infection of the skin called cellulitis. It might be beneficial if you went to see a doctor about it, as you don't want it to spread and it's usually easily treated with a course of antibiotics

You should get it checked out. I have a friend like that and she found she had burning sensations at bottom of her back. Turned out to be Arthritis.
