it happened alot with me like they wud come and ask "how r u?" and then they just become so silent...i wud be like "yes?"

some guys just dunno what to say. haha like me.
my mind just goes blank. lol not that i don't want to talk. i just can't come up with anything that wouldn't sound stupid.

Like the guy with the books says, socially guys and girls are from different planets, especially while they are young.
Boys mainly associate with other boys when young and their social interaction is extremely simple and straight-forward. Their main social interaction usually involves sports.
Girls are anything but simple socially and their daily interaction out on the playground rivals international geopolitics in complexity.
So these poor simple guys are a little lost when years later they develop an interest in something other than sports and try and wade into the complex social circles of the socially savvier sex.

Conversation typically has a structure of Person A asks a question, Person B answers, and then asks a question of their own. When Person B either doesn't reply or replies but w/o including a question of their own, Person A may become tongue tied as they may not have had another question ready to ask.
If someone asks "How are you"..."yes"? isn't an appropriate answer...what state of being is "yes?" Why not go with "Fine, thanks...how are you?" and thus conversation ensues (back and forth)...

Perhaps they have the "looks" without the personality that you're looking for. There are plenty of men that can hold a decent conversation.
