I'm a librarian...and usually pretty busy. We give out receipts for patrons to use the computer. One time I gave this guy one and when he left he handed it back to me with his number and a smile. Totally cute! We went out!!

And at the grocery store I use theres this cute guy. And I ALWAYS go to his line and we've made small talk. So one time I went in there and signed my reciept and put my number on the bottom and ripped it off before I gave it back. We're really good friends now!

Once a guy delievered a Rose to my desk...not red (for romance) but yellow (for friendship). It was very thoughtful and I was impressed. You could leave a rose on her desk during her lunch break with a note asking her out and phone number, maybe a picture of you unless she knows you.

Suggest a drink after work-or,if you get out of work in the evening, ask her if she'd like to join you for dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Say "would you like to go out sometime?"

If she says yes, then ask for her phone number so you can set something up. Have your phone or paper ready to get that number and not have to fumble, since she's busy.

Ask her if she wants to go for lunch with you. That way it's not too obvious whether you are asking for a date or not.
