You can talk to her about it but be sensitive with your words.

If she's like me she may have been raised with the notion that men pay for everything and a woman doesn't go into her wallet. Not saying this is 100% correct or fool proof. But when you have this in your head its easy to forget that an offer to pay here and there won't hurt.

But please don't make it an ultimatum for her to start paying or act as if you have to take turns when you go out. Like I said its sensitive. I had a guy talk to me about it once, but I didn't appreciate his tone.

I'm sure she won't mind paying and if you explain that it is placing a financial strain on you she should be happy to step in and pay sometime. And don't forget sometimes the best dates are the ones that don't cost a lot or anything at all.

Well, I guess it depends on your relationship, and how long you have been together with this girl. You sound like your heart is in the right place, and going out can get expensive. She should be intuitive enough to offer to share expenses at a certain point, but she may think you make more than you do, or may just expect you to pay for everything because you are the guy. Try talking to her about it. In my experience- when I was dating, I had this boyfriend who thought I should start paying when we went out, but I had a part time job, lived at home and went to school. He had a big deal job at some computer company. I said, "Nope." Don't be like him. lol

Well in todays world she should be at least offering to pay/split the expenses.. But I suggest you try this.. next time she says hey lets do this.. or go here.. just say.. Well I am kinda broke this week, but if you want to get the tab this time sure. She should understand that it is getting expensive to do everything these days and she could help out a bit. Otherwise, just keep your outings to a minimum as that's all you can afford. You shouldn't have to go broke just to make her happy.

don't go out so much stay at home and when she asks why then simply state that you are not made of money and you can't pay for everything, she will either understand or leave, if she leaves then she is not the right one for you! Good luck

I think that you should just sit down with her and talk with her about it.
My sister-in-law and her bf split things all the time. If they go to dinner and a movie, she'll pay for the movies - if they go out to a bar - she'll pay for her drinks -
I guess it all depends on who came up with the idea of going out on the date - whoever asked should be the one to pay
It's not fair to make you pay for everything!

i was the one that always paid. never my boyfriends. and last time i said something about it, my last boyfriend blew up on me.

but next time we went out, he paid.

just tell her you can't afford to be spending all this money can she help out a little. the worst thing that will happen is she refuses and you still have to spend all your money.

Take her to McD and cheap places.

After a movie, drove through mcD and tell her
"I am broke, from now on ,we are going to cheap places to play and eat like McD or Chucky Cheeses."

When you go some where to eat, order only for yourself. If you go to the movies, get just one ticket. She will take the hint you cheap skate.
