It's traditional to host a confirmation party after being confirmed . At least in the Catholic tradition it is.

I think Confirmation is a way of declaring that you intend to live 'the Jesus way' - and yes this deserves a jouyous party/celebration, after all the bible tells us that 'even the angels celebrate' Luke 15:10. However the party is more about being happy in your soul rather than spending money to achieve happiness!

I had a party after I was Confirmed in the Catholic church.

I don't think Sikhs can be confirmed into the Catholic church.
